Shakhovskoy District ({{langx|ru|Шаховско́й райо́н}}) is an administrativeLaw #11/2013-OZ and municipalLaw #62/2005-OZ district (raion), one of the thirty-six in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is {{convert|1218.88|km2|sp=us}}. Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Shakhovskaya. Population: 25,372 (2010 Census);{{ru-pop-ref|2010Census}} {{ru-census|p2002=23,061|p1989=23,783}} The population of Shakhovskaya accounts for 42.3% of the district's total population.
