As of the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Shalikha upazila had 36,905 households and a population of 163,658. 34,571 (21.12%) were under 10 years of age. Administration
Shalikha Upazila is divided into seven union parishads: Arpara, Bunagati, Dhaneswargati, Gongarampur, Shalikha, Shatakhali, and Talkhari.
