Career
He accepted the head coaching position at Western Michigan in April 2012.{{Cite web|title=Shane Clipfell Named Western Michigan Women's Basketball Head Coach|url=https://msuspartans.com/news/2012/4/13/Shane_Clipfell_Named_Western_Michigan_Women_s_Basketball_Head_Coach.aspx|access-date=2022-05-27|website=Michigan State University Athletics|language=en}} Prior to Western Michigan he was on Suzy Merchant's staff at Eastern Michigan from 1998 to 2007 and Michigan State from 2007 to 2012.
