Shogran is located {{Convert|34|km}} away from Balakot. The road from Islamabad to the region is paved and measures {{Convert|212|km}}. Temperature ranges between a maximum of {{Convert|20|C|F}} and a minimum of {{Convert|3|C|F}}. Monsoon winds bring heavy rains with occasional hailstorms. Unexpected thunderstorms and heavy rains sometimes create difficulties for visitors to move around.
