Shoxx (stylized as SHOXX) was a Japanese music magazine published monthly by Ongakusenkasha founded by Seiichi Hoshiko. It focused on Japan's visual kei scene, featuring its most popular bands as well as new ones. It is advertised as a "Visual and Hard Shock" magazine on each cover, a title that was influenced by visual kei pioneers X Japan and taken from their album Blue Blood.{{cite web|url=https://www.jrocknews.com/2018/01/interviewing-man-coined-term-visual-kei-seiichi-hoshiko.html|title=Interviewing the man who coined the term "Visual kei", Seiichi Hoshiko|publisher=Jrock News|date=January 24, 2018|accessdate=January 24, 2018}}{{Cite web|last=NBT|date=2018-01-31|title=Interview: How Seiichi Hoshiko was impacted by hide of X Japan|url=https://jrocknews.com/2018/01/interview-seiichi-hoshiko-part-2-impacted-hide-x-japan.html|access-date=2020-10-09|website=JROCK NEWS|language=en-US}}

Different artists were featured on the cover every month, along with a 20-page feature which covered them through in-depth profiles and interviews, and a poster of the cover star. Regularly featured bands included X Japan, Miyavi, Mucc, Nightmare, The Gazette, Kra, Sid, Kagrra, Alice Nine, An Cafe and LM.C, among others.{{cite web|url=http://jscans.baka-koneko.com/|title=the jrock scans directory|accessdate=October 25, 2019}}
