Siddharth Raj Anand is an Indian filmmaker. He is the grandson of screenwriter Inder Raj Anand and is primarily known for his work in Hindi films. He received recognition for directing the successful romantic comedies Salaam Namaste (2005), Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and Anjaana Anjaani (2010). Siddharth then established himself as a leading action filmmaker with Bang Bang! (2014) and the YRF Spy Universe films: War (2019) and Pathaan (2023). In 2021, Anand launched his own production company, Marflix Pictures. Its first release was the aerial action film Fighter (2024).

Early and personal life

Anand's second directorial venture was the sports drama, Ta Ra Rum Pum (2007), which marked his third collaboration with Saif Ali Khan who starred alongside Rani Mukerji. Anand's third directorial venture was the romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), which starred Ranbir Kapoor alongside Deepika Padukone, Bipasha Basu, and Minissha Lamba. His fourth directorial venture, and first outside of Yash Raj Films, the romantic comedy Anjaana Anjaani (2010), marked his second collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor who starred opposite Priyanka Chopra. In 2014, Anand made his foray into the action genre with Bang Bang! starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Bang Bang! was followed by the action-thriller War (2019), which marked his first collaboration with Yash Raj Films since Bachna Ae Haseeno, and starred Hrithik Roshan alongside Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.
