Sigean ({{IPA|fr|siʒɑ̃|-|LL-Q150 (fra)-Lepticed7-Sigean.wav}}; {{langx|oc|Sijan}}) is a commune in the Aude department in southern France. It formerly laid on Route nationale 9 between Narbonne and Perpignan,{{cite book |last=Starke |first=Mariana |author-link=Mariana Starke |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=MbdfAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA473 |title=Information and directions for travellers on the Continent |date=1828 |page=473}} but RN 9 (downgraded to route départementale 6009) now bypasses the town of Sigean and is itself bypassed by the A9 autoroute.
