The Silvermine River is an {{convert|8.4|mi|km|adj=mid|-long}}U.S. Geological Survey. National Hydrography Dataset high-resolution flowline data. [http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/ The National Map], accessed April 1, 2011 river that flows through the towns of Norwalk, Wilton, New Canaan and Ridgefield, Connecticut. It is spanned by the 1899 Perry Avenue Bridge in the Silvermine neighborhood, and by the Silvermine River Bridge that carries the Merritt Parkway. It is a tributary of the Norwalk River which it joins at the north end of Deering Pond.
