Duke Sim Sunt'aek or Shim Soon-Taek (1824–1906) was a high-ranking official of the Korean Empire who proposed an anti-Japan policy.{{cite web|url=http://people.aks.ac.kr/front/tabCon/ppl/pplView.aks?pplId=PPL_6JOc_A1824_1_0006645 |script-title=ko:한국역대인물 종합정보 시스템 |website=Academy of Korean Studies|accessdate=2011-03-27}} He came from the Cheongsong Shim clan. Gojong of Korea awarded the Order of the Plum Blossom to Shim in 1902.
