Simly Dam is an {{convert|80|m|ft|sp=us}} high earthen embankment dam on the Soan River, {{convert|30|km|mi|sp=us}} east of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Rawalpindi District, Punjab, Pakistan.A great politician Haji Raja Kamal Khan who served much by providing his land for dam.[http://www.springerlink.com/content/r38124701601w56t/fulltext.pdf?page=1 PERMEABILITY TESTS AT THE SIMLY DAM PROJECT]{{dead link|date=February 2020|bot=medic}}{{cbignore|bot=medic}} It is the largest reservoir of drinking water to people living in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The water stored in this dam is fed by the melting snow & natural springs of Murree hills. It was developed by the Capital Development Authority.
