Simly Dam is an {{convert|80|m|ft|sp=us}} high earthen embankment dam on the Soan River, {{convert|30|km|mi|sp=us}} east of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in Rawalpindi District, Punjab, Pakistan.A great politician Haji Raja Kamal Khan who served much by providing his land for dam.[http://www.springerlink.com/content/r38124701601w56t/fulltext.pdf?page=1 PERMEABILITY TESTS AT THE SIMLY DAM PROJECT]{{dead link|date=February 2020|bot=medic}}{{cbignore|bot=medic}} It is the largest reservoir of drinking water to people living in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The water stored in this dam is fed by the melting snow & natural springs of Murree hills. It was developed by the Capital Development Authority. Boating and Fishing are two main activities here. For fishing, you need to have license (permission) from Capital Development Authority.
