Simon James Clist (born 13 June 1981) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder. He began his career at Tottenham Hotspur and went on to play for Bristol City, Torquay United, Barnet, Hereford United, Oxford United and Forest Green Rovers.

Career

Born in Bournemouth, Dorset,{{cite web |url=http://www.11v11.com/players/simon-clist-4351/ |title=Simon Clist |work=11v11.com |publisher=AFS Enterprises |accessdate=22 January 2016}} Clist began his career as a trainee with Tottenham Hotspur as a TYS before transferring to Bristol City, turning professional in July 1999. His first-team debut came on 25 January 2000, in the Football League Trophy game at home to AFC Bournemouth (a 1–1 draw). His league debut came four days later in a goalless draw away to Bury.
