Singles and B Sides is a compilation album released in 1994 by Australian band Skyhooks.

Background

Following the release of The Latest and Greatest in 1992, Skyhooks were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.{{cite web|url=http://www.aria.com.au/pages/hall-of-fame.htm|title=ARIA Hall of Fame|publisher=ARIA|accessdate=13 February 2016}}

Following the induction, a combined stadium tour and album was proposed with fellow Australian band, Daddy Cool, scheduled for 1994.{{cite news |last=Blackman |first=Guy |url=http://www.theage.com.au/news/Music/Whos-your-daddy/2005/02/26/1109180122767.html |title=Who's your daddy? |newspaper=The Age |date=2007-02-27 |accessdate=2008-05-05 | location=Melbourne}}

Both bands recorded tracks for the album and the first single released was the double A-side single "Ballad of Oz"/ "Happy Hippy Hut", which peaked at number 35 in Australia.{{cite web|url=http://australian-charts.com/showitem.asp?interpret=Daddy+Cool+%2F+The+Skyhooks&titel=The+Ballad+Of+Oz+%2F+Happy+Hippy+Hut&cat=s|title=Daddy Cool / The Skyhooks - The Ballad of Oz / Happy Hippy Hut|publisher=Hung Medien|accessdate=13 February 2016}} Due to lack of radio interest, the joint album and tour was eventually cancelled and Skyhooks disbanded.{{cite web|url= http://www.skyhooks-music.com/history.html|title=Skyhooks - A QUICK 'HOOK HISTORY|publisher=skyhooks-music.com|accessdate=10 February 2016}}

Mushroom Records fulfilled the contract by releasing a compilation album of singles and B-sides.
