Sir John Henry Grattan Esmonde, 16th Baronet, of the Esmonde baronets, (27 June 1928 – 16 May 1987) was an Irish Fine Gael politician. A barrister by profession, he was made a senior counsel. Esmonde was elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fine Gael Teachta Dála (TD) for the Wexford constituency at the 1973 general election.{{cite web|url=https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/members/member/John-Grattan-Esmonde.D.1973-03-14/|title=John Grattan Esmonde|work=Oireachtas Members Database|date=24 May 1977|accessdate=9 April 2009}} He lost his seat at the 1977 general election.{{cite web|url=http://electionsireland.org/candidate.cfm?ID=9052|title=John Grattan Esmonde|work=ElectionsIreland.org|accessdate=9 April 2009}} The outgoing government appointed him as a judge of the Circuit Court. He was assigned to the Western Circuit, and served as the Circuit judge there until his death.
