It is located in the central part of the municipality, about {{convert|12|km}} northeast of the town of Stjørdalshalsen, about {{convert|5|km}} north of the village of Hegra, and about {{convert|10|km}} east of the mountain Forbordsfjellet. The village is the location of Okkelberg Chapel.
