Critical reception

Billboard{{'}}s Michael Saponara ranked "Slide" as the second best song on Vultures 2. Music video

On 13 August 2024, a black-and-white music video was released on YouTube, directed by West and Aus Taylor; the latter described it as "a portrait of the blade", a strip of road associated with prostitution. Most of the women are scantily clad, either hanging around the sidewalks or talking to men, who are implied to be their clients.
