"Slip Slidin' Away" is a 1977 song written and recorded by Paul Simon which appears on his compilation album Greatest Hits, Etc. It was one of two new songs to appear on the album, the other being "Stranded in a Limousine". Backing vocals on the song are provided by The Oak Ridge Boys. The song was originally recorded and considered for Simon's 1975 album Still Crazy After All These Years, but Simon decided not to include the song on the finished album. A demo version appears on the 2004 re-issue of the album.{{cite web|title=Slip Slidin' Away|url=http://www.allmusic.com/song/slip-slidin-away-mt0031934452|publisher=allmusic.com|accessdate=12 January 2014}}{{cite web|title=Paul Simon– Slip Slidin Away / Stranded In A Limousine|url=http://www.discogs.com/Paul-Simon-Slip-Slidin-Away-Stranded-In-A-Limousine/release/2265149|publisher=discogs.com|accessdate=12 January 2014}}{{cite web|title=Greatest Hits, Etc.|website=Amazon|url=https://www.amazon.com/Greatest-Hits-Etc-Paul-Simon/dp/B00061Z9B8|accessdate=12 January 2014}}{{cite web|title=Paul Simon - Slip Slidin' Away + lyrics|url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_H-LY4Jb2M&list=PL203D0DCA4B3DA2E3&index=1|publisher=youtube.com|accessdate=12 January 2014}}{{cbignore}}{{Dead Youtube links|date=February 2022}} The song was also included on Negotiations and Love Songs (1988).
