In molecular biology, snoRNA SNORD90 (HBII-295) is a non-coding RNA that belongs to the family of C/D snoRNAs. Initially described as HBII-295{{cite journal | vauthors = Hüttenhofer A, Kiefmann M, Meier-Ewert S, O'Brien J, Lehrach H, Bachellerie JP, Brosius J | title = RNomics: an experimental approach that identifies 201 candidates for novel, small, non-messenger RNAs in mouse | journal = The EMBO Journal | volume = 20 | issue = 11 | pages = 2943–53 | date = June 2001 | pmid = 11387227 | pmc = 125495 | doi = 10.1093/emboj/20.11.2943 }} this RNA has now been called SNORD70 by the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee. It is the human orthologue of the mouse MBII-295 and has no identified RNA target.{{cite journal | vauthors = Lestrade L, Weber MJ | title = snoRNA-LBME-db, a comprehensive database of human H/ACA and C/D box snoRNAs | journal = Nucleic Acids Research | volume = 34 | issue = Database issue | pages = D158-62 | date = January 2006 | pmid = 16381836 | pmc = 1347365 | doi = 10.1093/nar/gkj002 | citeseerx = 10.1.1.105.7552 }} This RNA is expressed from an intron of the MNAB/OR1K1 gene.

There is evidence that SNORD90 is involved in guiding N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modifications onto target RNA transcripts.{{Cite journal |last1=Lin |first1=Rixing |last2=Kos |first2=Aron |last3=Lopez |first3=Juan Pablo |last4=Dine |first4=Julien |last5=Fiori |first5=Laura M |last6=Yang |first6=Jennie |last7=Ben-Efraim |first7=Yair |last8=Aouabed |first8=Zahia |last9=Ibrahim |first9=Pascal |last10=Mitsuhashi |first10=Haruka |last11=Wong |first11=Tak Pan |last12=Ibrahim |first12=El Cherif |last13=Belzung |first13=Catherine |last14=Blier |first14=Pierre |last15=Farzan |first15=Faranak |date=2023-07-11 |editor-last=West |editor-first=Anne E |editor2-last=Wong |editor2-first=Ma-Li |title=SNORD90 induces glutamatergic signaling following treatment with monoaminergic antidepressants |journal=eLife |volume=12 |pages=e85316 |doi=10.7554/eLife.85316 |issn=2050-084X |pmc=10335830 |pmid=37432876 |doi-access=free }} Specifically, SNORD90 has been shown to increase m6A levels on neuregulin 3 (NRG3) leading to its down-regulation through recognition by YTHDF2.
