A snow flurry is a light snowfall that results in little or no snow accumulation. The US National Weather Service defines snow flurries as intermittent light snow that produces no measurable precipitation (trace amounts).{{cite web |url=https://w1.weather.gov/glossary/index.php?letter=f |title= Letter F|work=Glossary |publisher=National Weather Service |access-date=January 1, 2020}} In contrast, bursts of snowfall that do result in measurable snow accumulation are called snow showers.{{cite web |url=https://w1.weather.gov/glossary/index.php?letter=s |title= Letter S|work=Glossary |publisher=National Weather Service |access-date=January 1, 2020}} Environment Canada uses a different definition for flurries, approximately equivalent to 'snow shower'.{{cite web |url=https://ec.gc.ca/meteoaloeil-skywatchers/default.asp?lang=En&n=7884CDEA-1&def=hide1BED14A34#:~:text=Flurry,intensity%20from%20light%20to%20heavy.|title= Letter F|work=Weather Glossary|date= 10 March 2010|publisher=Environment Canada|access-date=November 17, 2021}}
