Career

He worked as a Radio Jockey from 1978 to 1988. He was introduced in TV drama Raat by a director at PTV Lahore Nusrat Thakur. He appeared in his first movie Murad in 2003. He got award for Outstanding Performance at the 1st Indus Drama Awards for this film.{{citation needed|date= October 2022}}

Awards and recognition

Death and legacy

Sohail Asghar died after protracted illness for a year and a half before his death. Sohail Asghar, having been a veteran actor of Pakistani theatre, radio and film, his death was mourned by National Council of the Arts, National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage as well as Lok Virsa Museum staffs in Pakistan.
