Spalding is an unincorporated community in the northwest United States, located in northern Nez Perce County, Idaho.{{gnis|397192|Spalding}}

Description

The community is located {{convert|10|mi|spell=in}} east and upstream of Lewiston, on the Clearwater River, at the mouth of the Lapwai Valley. The village was named after Reverend Henry Spalding,{{cite book|last=Rees|first=John E.|title=Idaho Chronology, Nomenclature, Bibliography|url=https://archive.org/details/idahochronologyn00reesrich|year=1918|publisher=W.B. Conkey Company|page=[https://archive.org/details/idahochronologyn00reesrich/page/114 114]}} a missionary who taught the neighboring Nez Percé irrigation.

The headquarters and visitor center for the Nez Perce National Historical Park are located at Spalding.

This place is notable as the birthplace of Lillian Disney, the wife of Walt Disney.
