The Church of St John is the parish church of Llandenny, Monmouthshire, Wales. It is in the Perpendicular style and is a Grade I listed building as of 27 November 1953.{{NHAW|num=17425|desc=Church of St John, Llandenny|grade=I|access-date=19 April 2022}}

History and architecture

The church dates from the twelfth century, the date of the nave, {{sfn|Newman|2002|p=272}} although the chancel is fourteenth century and the roofs and tower fifteenth century.{{Coflein|num=221237|desc=St John's Church, Llandenny|access-date=19 April 2022}} It has a well-preserved Norman window.{{cite web|url=http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/parishholding/monmouth/m572-en/churches-en/st-john-the-apostle-llandenny_-en |title=St John the Apostle, Llandenny|publisher=Church in Wales|access-date=12 February 2012}} The building is of Old Red Sandstone.{{sfn|Newman|2002|p=272}} The church was restored in 1860-65 by John Prichard and John Pollard Seddon{{sfn|Newman|2002|p=272}} and again by G.E.Halliday in 1900–01.
