Stary Lubotyń {{IPAc-pl|'|s|t|a|r|y|-|l|u|'|b|o|t|y|ń}} is a village in Ostrów Mazowiecka County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Stary Lubotyń.{{TERYT}} It lies approximately {{convert|15|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north of Ostrów Mazowiecka and {{convert|102|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-east of Warsaw.

History

The local Catholic church was established in 1497.{{cite book|author= |title=Słownik geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego i innych krajów słowiańskich, Tom V|year=1884|language=pl|location=Warszawa|page=448}} Lubotyń was a private church village of the Diocese of Płock,{{cite book|author= |title=Słownik geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego i innych krajów słowiańskich, Tom XV. Część II|year=1902|language=pl|location=Warszawa|page=246}} administratively located in the Masovian Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland. In 1827, it had a population of 195.
