The State Anthem of the Republic of Dagestan,{{efn|{{langx|ru|Государственный гимн Республики Дагестан}}, {{transliteration|ru|Gosudarstvennyj gimn Respubliki Dagestan}}}} a constituent republic of Russia, was adopted on 25 February 2016.{{Cite web|url=http://mkala.mk.ru/articles/2016/02/25/v-narodnom-sobranii-rd-utverzhden-gosudarstvennyy-gimn-dagestana.html|title=В Народном Собрании РД утвержден Государственный гимн Дагестана}}[http://ndelo.ru/news/novosti/1533/ Новым гимном Дагестана может стать гимн 'Клятва' Гамзатова] The music was composed by Murad Kazhlayev, and the lyrics are based on an Avar poem by Rasul Gamzatov.{{Cite web|url=https://godliteratury.ru/events/stikhotvorenie-gamzatova-stalo-gimno|title = Стихотворение Гамзатова стало гимном Дагестана}} The official Russian lyrics were written by Nikolay Dorizo. It replaced the original anthem that functioned as the state anthem from 2003 to 2016.
