The Statue of Jefferson Davis was unveiled in the Kentucky State Capitol Rotunda, in Frankfort, Kentucky on December 10, 1936. It depicts Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States of America. It was erected under the auspices of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It remained there until June 13, 2020. The Historic Properties Advisory Commission voted to move the statue out of the Rotunda to the Jefferson Davis State Historic Site near Fairview, Kentucky.{{Cite news|date=2020-06-13|title=Kentucky to remove statue of Confederate leader Jefferson Davis from Capitol|language=en|work=Reuters|url=https://www.reuters.com/article/us-minneapolis-police-protests-kentucky-idUSKBN23J30N|access-date=2020-06-13|archive-date=2020-06-12|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200612221451/https://www.reuters.com/article/us-minneapolis-police-protests-kentucky-idUSKBN23J30N|url-status=live}}{{Cite web|title=Jefferson Davis Statue Voted Out Of Kentucky State Capitol|url=https://www.npr.org/sections/live-updates-protests-for-racial-justice/2020/06/12/876220211/jefferson-davis-statue-to-be-removed-from-kentucky-state-capitol|access-date=2020-06-13|website=NPR.org|date=12 June 2020 |language=en|archive-date=2020-06-13|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200613010249/https://www.npr.org/sections/live-updates-protests-for-racial-justice/2020/06/12/876220211/jefferson-davis-statue-to-be-removed-from-kentucky-state-capitol|url-status=live|last1=Horn |first1=Austin }}
