Stet is an unincorporated community on the Ray/Carroll County line and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.{{GNIS|727079}} It is located approximately fourteen miles northwest of Carrollton at the intersection of Missouri Supplemental Routes K and JJ.Missouri Atlas & Gazetteer, DeLorme, 1998, First edition, p. 28 {{ISBN|0-89933-224-2}}
History
A post office called Stet was established in 1890, and remained in operation until 1973.{{cite web | url=http://www.postalhistory.com/postoffices.asp?task=display&state=MO&county=Carroll&searchtext=&pagenum=3 | title=Post Offices| publisher=Jim Forte Postal History | accessdate=12 December 2016}} That same year, the rural route was consolidated with Norborne but the building stayed open as a contract office until 2011.
