Steve Pickton's music is characterized by a dreamy, melodic, melancholic, yet powerful and energetic sound, combining Detroit-influenced beat patterns and basslines with beautiful string sounds.{{cite web|url=http://music.hyperreal.org/bford/ifach/related/stasis.html |title=Steve Pickton |website=Music.hyperreal.org |date= |accessdate=2020-05-26}}
