Sugarloaf is a rhyolite dome located just below the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff, Arizona. It formed after a lateral eruption of the mountain, which occurred in a similar fashion to the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens.{{cite book|last=Wood|first=Charles A.|author2=Jűrgen Kienle |title=Volcanoes of North America|publisher=Cambridge University Press|year=1993|pages=278–281|isbn=0-521-43811-X}}
