Biography

Born in the British Raj, she was the first woman to be elevated to the post of Additional Judge in the Gujarat High Court on 17 October 1994.{{Cite news|url=https://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-gujarat-hc-has-had-only-6-women-judges-in-50-years-1660180|title=Gujarat HC has had only 6 women judges in 50 years|date=2012-03-09|work=dna|access-date=2018-09-04|language=en-US}} She was transferred to the Kerala High Court and required to join on 4 November 1994 which she did not. So she ceased to be a judge on 2 January 1995.
