Reception
Suite 7 received 200,000 streams in its first two weeks of release{{Cite news|url=https://gigaom.com/2011/01/05/lifetime-tvs-suite-7-lets-actors-stretch-out/|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150311000532/https://gigaom.com/2011/01/05/lifetime-tvs-suite-7-lets-actors-stretch-out/|url-status=dead|archive-date=March 11, 2015|title=Lifetime TV’s Suite 7 Lets Actors Stretch Out|last=Miller|first=Liz Shannon|date=January 5, 2011|work=GigaOm|access-date=January 5, 2011|via=Knowingly, Inc.}} and received generally favorable reviews from critics.
In his January 14, 2011 New York Times review, critic Mike Hale wrote Suite 7 was “worth checking out,” singling out the episode ‘’Good in Bed’’ starring Jaime Murray and Eddie McClintock as a divorcing couple as “the best so far.”{{Cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/16/arts/television/16watch.html|title=Mishaps in Politicking, Single-Parenthood and Finding a Partner|last=Hale|first=Mike|date=January 14, 2011|work=The New York Times|access-date=January 14, 2011|via=The New York Times Company}} Jim Edwards of CBS News called Shannen Doherty’s performance “jarringly emotional” and observed that series stars Illeana Douglas, Milo Ventimiglia and Brian Austin Green “seem to be having a ball and delivering performances of a far higher quality than they have often done on regular TV.”{{Cite news|url=https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-shannen-dohertys-bizarrely-intense-mattress-ad-shows-the-power-of-youtube/|title=How Shannen Doherty’s Bizarrely Intense Mattress Ad Shows the Power of YouTube|last=Edwards|first=Jim|date=February 2, 2011|work=CBS Moneywatch|access-date=January 14, 2011|via=CBS News}} GigaOm writer Liz Shannon Miller wrote in her January 5, 2011 review, “There’s a theatrical feel to the bulk of the series, which is one way of saying that the plotting feels a little slight at times, with many episodes representing nice illustrations of scene work as opposed to engaging storytelling.”{{Cite news|url=https://gigaom.com/2011/01/05/lifetime-tvs-suite-7-lets-actors-stretch-out/|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150311000532/https://gigaom.com/2011/01/05/lifetime-tvs-suite-7-lets-actors-stretch-out/|url-status=dead|archive-date=March 11, 2015|title=Lifetime TV’s Suite 7 Lets Actors Stretch Out|last=Miller|first=Liz Shannon|date=January 5, 2011|work=GigaOm|access-date=January 5, 2011|via=Knowingly, Inc.}}
