Susan Stuebner

Susan D. Stuebner is an American academic administrator who served as the ninth president of Colby–Sawyer College from 2016 to 2024. Stuebner is from Deephaven, Minnesota.{{Cite web |title=College President's Biography |url=https://colby-sawyer.edu/governance/president/biography |access-date=2024-05-18 |website=Colby-Sawyer College |language=en}} She earned an A.B. in psychology at Dartmouth College. She completed an Ed.M. in administration, planning, and social policy and an Ed.D. in higher education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Stuebner researches leadership, decision-making, and the sustainability of private liberal arts colleges. Stuebner was a special assistant to the president at Wheelock College. She was an academic counselor at Dartmouth College while she completed her dissertation. She worked at Lycoming College for ten years including as the vice president for administration and planning.
Stuebner was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at Allegheny College. On July 1, 2016, Stuebner became the ninth president and a professor of business and social sciences of Colby–Sawyer College. She held the Volanakis Family Presidential Chair. She was succeeded by interim president Laura A.
