Szegedi Honvéd SE debuted in the 1951 season of the Hungarian League and finished tenth.{{cite web|url=https://www.rsssf.org/tablesh/honghist1950.html|title=Hungarian League 1951|date=23 May 2015|publisher=The Rec Sport Soccer Statistics Foundation}} They were dissolved in 1953 and replaced in the Hungarian League by Szegedi EAC.
