{{Infobox_gene}}
Homeobox protein TGIF2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TGIF2 gene.{{cite journal | vauthors = Imoto I, Pimkhaokham A, Watanabe T, Saito-Ohara F, Soeda E, Inazawa J | title = Amplification and overexpression of TGIF2, a novel homeobox gene of the TALE superclass, in ovarian cancer cell lines | journal = Biochem Biophys Res Commun | volume = 276 | issue = 1 | pages = 264–70 |date=Oct 2000 | pmid = 11006116 | doi = 10.1006/bbrc.2000.3449 }}
The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA-binding homeobox protein and a transcriptional repressor. The encoded protein appears to repress transcription by recruiting histone deacetylases to TGF beta-responsive genes. This gene is amplified and overexpressed in some ovarian cancers, and mutations in this gene can cause holoprosencephaly.{{cite web | title = Entrez Gene: TGIF2 TGFB-induced factor homeobox 2| url = https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=60436}}
