TOI-1260 is a single high-proper-motion K-type main-sequence star in the constellation of Ursa Major. Its surface temperature is 4227{{±|85}} K. TOI-1260 has an orange hue and is too faint to be seen with the naked eye, or a small telescope.{{Cite web |title=★ TOI 1260 |url=https://www.stellarcatalog.com/stars/toi-1260 |access-date=2025-04-21 |website=Stellar Catalog |language=en}} It has an apparent visual magnitude of 11.922{{±|0.034}}. Based upon parallax measurements, it is located 239 light-years from the Sun. The object is drifting towards the Sun with a radial velocity of -16.7 km/s.
Planetary system
TOI-1260 has three known planets, two discovered in 2021 and one in 2022 by the transit method.{{Cite web |date=2022-12-23 |title=TOI-1260 d - NASA Science |url=https://science.nasa.gov/exoplanet-catalog/toi-1260-d/ |access-date=2025-04-21 |language=en-US}}
None of these three planets orbit in the habitable zone. All are sub-Neptunes, with masses and radii indicating that they are partly composed of gas.
