Background and production
In an interview for the Japanese magazine TV Life, B.I explained that the title of the EP, {{Nihongo||ただいま|Tadaima|{{lit|I'm home}}}}, alluded to his return to Japan, which he had visited often in the earlier stages of his career. He chose songs that he thought his Japanese fans would like, with an overall nostalgic atmosphere, though two of them are lighter.{{cite interview |subject=B.I |subject-link=B.I (rapper) |title=K-pop Hot Icon Interview – B.I |work=TV Life |date=March 13, 2024 |number=6 |page=102 |publisher=One Publishing Co. Ltd. |location=Tokyo, Japan |language=ja}} The singer-songwriter also told BuzzFeed Japan that he translated the lyrics from Korean to Japanese very carefully, so as not to lose the messages he intended to convey. Other than that, he considered the production process for Tadaima to be generally the same as usual.{{cite interview |subject=B.I |subject-link=B.I (rapper) |url=https://www.buzzfeed.com/jp/bfjapan/bi-japan-debut-interview-1 |title=日本デビューを果たしたK-POP歌手、B.I。日本盤アルバムは「ファンの皆さんとコミュニケーションをとるため」 |work=BuzzFeed Japan |interviewer=Sofia Sayson |date=April 1, 2024 |language=ja |access-date=April 7, 2024}}
