Network

Tai Sang operates out of a single banking office on Des Voeux Road Central (德輔道中) and does not offer any online banking or ATM services. The bank largely relies on small-scale transactions and a high degree of customer service, providing more flexible solutions than larger lenders. The bank's main clients are brokers and gold traders.{{cite news |last1=Yiu |first1=Enoch |title=A Hong Kong bank shows how it thrives without internet or an ATM |url=https://www.scmp.com/business/banking-finance/article/2157109/tai-sang-shows-how-octogenarian-single-branch-bank-can |accessdate=21 November 2020 |work=South China Morning Post |date=28 July 2018 |language=en}} The bank also has two safe deposit box offices in Quarry Bay and Whampoa, and lets non-customers use them.{{Cite web |title=Tai Sang Bank - Safe Deposit Box |url=https://www.taisangbank.com.hk/en/safe.php |access-date=30 December 2024 |website=Tai Sang Bank}}

US sanctions

As the United States imposed sanctions on a number of Mainland and Hong Kong officials (under the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act and the Hong Kong Autonomy Act) in the wake of the 2019 protests and the imposition of the National Security Law many multinational banks were no longer able to offer their services to those named in the sanction lists. This has increased the appeal of banks, such as Tai Sang, which do not operate outside the territory and therefore are less vulnerable to legal action for violating the sanctions.{{cite news |title=高官可以幫襯大生銀行? |url=https://hk.finance.yahoo.com/news/%E9%AB%98%E5%AE%98%E5%8F%AF%E4%BB%A5%E5%B9%AB%E8%A5%AF%E5%A4%A7%E7%94%9F%E9%8A%80%E8%A1%8C-062914314.html |access-date=21 December 2020 |department="中環街市" column|work=Yahoo!
