Tsuruno is originally from Moji-ku, Kitakyūshū, Fukuoka Prefecture.
Career
Tsuruno is known for his roles as Shin Asuka/Ultraman Dyna in Ultraman Dyna{{cite book|last=Thomas|first=Brian|title=VideoHound's dragon: Asian action & cult flicks|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=jqx4iLRjthAC&pg=PA645|access-date=16 June 2011|date=June 2003|publisher=Visible Ink Press|isbn=978-1-57859-141-1|pages=645–}} and as the leader of the musical units Shuchishin and Aladdin.
As a member of Shuchishin and Aladdin, he appears regularly on the variety show Quiz! Hexagon II.
Tsuruno is currently represented with Ohta Production.
Personal life
Tsuruno married his former stylist {{nihongo4|Miki Endō|遠藤 美紀|Endō Miki}} in 2003. They have two sons named {{nihongo4|Eito|詠斗||{{birth date|2004|3|27}}}} an unnamed son (born June 6, 2016) and three daughters named {{nihongo4|Uta|うた||{{birth date|2006|1|6}}}}, {{nihongo4|Oto|おと||{{birth date|2007|7|15}}}}, and {{nihongo4|Iro|いろ||{{birth date|2009|11|6}}}}.
