Flags in footballbox templates

Hi 90.231.59.159, 2.65.139.118 and 81.237.241.67. Let me describe the issue about the flag icons in the footballbox templates. Wikipedia:MOSFLAG states that "Words as the primary means of communication should be given greater precedence over flags and flags should not change the expected style or layout of infoboxes or lists to the detriment of words." I've used flags in the pre-season section signify when the two clubs in a match are not from the same country as is praxis on Wikipedia. Since it is praxis to do so, the user will understand by default that when flags are omitted, that the two clubs are both Swedish. If in doubt, a simply click on either club will tell the user that the club is Swedish. Otherwise we would have to put Swedish flags in all the Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen match boxes as well. The simple argument I make here is that we should try to avoid to use flags when we don't have to. Any argument like "I don't like it" should be avoided. Please discuss the issue here and present arguments that adhere to Wikipedia policy. If we can't reach a conclusion, I will request a third opinion. Also please try to avoid any personal attacks like you did previously. Thanks! --Reckless182 (talk) 11:12, 27 April 2014 (UTC)

:The request for a third opinion has been removed from the listing. (So this is not an "official" 3O response because we don't have a discussion.) I will say, however, that flag icons are discouraged in infoboxes. Also, uncivil language (whether in discussions or in edit pages) can lead to sanctions such as blocks from editing. – S.
