  • ~~Oppose~~ Comment The standard naming convention is for iconic matches where records were tumbled. This was a partnership sort of match played under this banner and logo. Convention will not hold here. Pharaoh496 (talk) 19:42, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
  • :@Pharaoh496: that's not how naming conventions work on Wikipedia; read WP:NC. Vestrian24Bio 13:39, 28 March 2025 (UTC)

  • :::WP:CONSISTENT, WP:TITLECON - {{tq|titles for the same kind of subject should not differ in form or structure without good reason. • ::::Same kind of subject - all other match titles have an exclusive focus on the match. this one does not. this needs to be more thought over. Pharaoh496 (talk) 06:04, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

  • Oppose - as a cricket match this is no more or less notable than any other Test match - CricInfo called it "a tedious draw" in its report ([https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/australia-in-india-2022-23-1348637/india-vs-australia-4th-test-1348655/match-report-5 source]). It's only special notability comes about as a result of the political events surrounding it, so that, or something like it, should be the name of the article. Without that, this is a strong delete at AfD for me - otherwise we're essentially saying that every modern Test match featuring India is notable (there'd probably be a case that could be made for that argument if anyone would care to try it). I can't, then, see how we should list this under the name of the match as we would we an actually notable-enough Test match. I'd argue that a lot of the match detail should also be removed from the article fwiw - this is a political event and most of the cricket coverage is really routine - someone caught someone off someone's bolding and someone scored some runs. I'm with CricInfo here Blue Square Thing (talk) 13:54, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
