{{quotation|Consensus Inclusion Criteria for Text in This Article

  • Real world aircraft (not fictional or made-up aircraft) that have significant roles in books, films, video games and as toys, provided reliable refs are supplied.
  • For fictional characters who assume the form of an aircraft - inclusion only as a one sentence summary and only for primary aircraft, not one-time configurations.
  • All media types included under article subheadings by aircraft type with at least one link to the article about the aircraft type itself.
  • The aircraft must have a significant role in the work and not simply being seen. Appearances in games are considered non-notable except for notable games dedicated to the specific aircraft.
  • Third party references are needed to show the notability of the appearance. Primary references, such as the book, game or movie itself, are not sufficient for inclusion.
  • Aircraft type articles that have entries here should have Notable appearances in media sections that simply refer to this article, in a manner like Sikorsky MH-53#Notable_appearances_in_media.}}

Stratosphere from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

The transformer Stratosphere from the film Transformer: Rise of the Beasts is credited as being a C-119 Flying Boxcar on the film's page. Should it be added here? 69.41.96.242 (talk) 23:14, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

P-51

Len Deighton’s 1982 novel “Goodbye Mickey Mouse” is all about a UK-based unit flying P-51s on escort missions over Germany and should probably be included. I'd probably break something if I tried to add it myself thobut. Mr Larrington (talk) 20:08, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

Is this valid?

The V-22 Osprey appears in mission 4 in Ace Combat 7. Games about planes are not included on this list because, well, they’re about planes. However, the name of the aircraft is never shown in the game, in fact, the only way you can know that it is, in fact, a V-22, (other than the fact that it obviously is,) is on the license screen that breifly flashes when booting up the game. Is this notable enough to include? CL-1201 (talk) 01:50, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
