One such instance is the case of Ali al-Jarrah, a Lebanese man who has accused of spying for Israel for 25 years.{{cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/19/world/middleeast/19lebanon.html|first=Robert F.|last=Worth|title=Lebanese in Shock Over Arrest of an Accused Spy|date=18 February 2009|accessdate=19 February 2009|work=The New York Times}} He was recruited by Israel to photograph Hezbollah supply routes and frequently moved between the Lebanon-Syria border. In 2011, a military court in Lebanon sentenced al-Jarrah to life in prison.
