Removing the redirect to O visa in favor of stand alone article, since the Alien of extraordinary ability classification applies to both non-immigrant O visa or to the immigrant EB-1 visa.

EB-1A v O-1

This might seem like a silly question, but what exactly does the distinction between an "immigrant version" and "non-immigrant version" mean?

Like what exactly does having an visa do if you're not immigrating?

As best I can tell by the immigration description:

:in order to settle as permanent residents or naturalized citizens

So basically if you express a wish to become a permanent resident, you use the EB-1A (because it is a road to eventual permanent residency) whereas if you say "I'm just a genius who wants to sell my genius here but I don't want to stay indefinitely" then you use the O-1? 64.228.90.251 (talk) 06:33, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

how does Law Enforcement fit in

How does Law Enforcement Act within the Alien of Extraordinary ability scenario, i.e. what do they do if there is a problem? 67.4.183.5 (talk) 18:53, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
