Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?

The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Redundant Pronunciation

I moved following line here from the main page since it seems redundant, doesn't follow Wikipedia:Manual of Style (pronunciation) and is missing a citation. If correct IPA pronunciation and a citation can be found, please return it to the main article Toddst1 16:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

  • :Speakers of Baltimorese and its variants in the county pronounce it "Annie Runnel" or "And Arundel."{{Fact|date=July 2007}}

Climate

All of Anne Arundel is humid subtropical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.244.4.3 (talk) 23:38, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

: That is correct. I rewrote the climate section to reflect this. The transition to humid continental is well west of the AA county line--Bardobro (talk) 16:32, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

Merge [[Broadneck Peninsula]] into this article

A new article on Broadneck Peninsula has been created but is very poorly written. I think the community would be better served if the salvageable content be merged into this article. I don't feel that each peninsula in the county really warrants its own article. Do folks agree, disagree? Toddst1 (talk) 19:26, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

: That's interesting. I wasn't aware of that article. I just started editing the county article, and wondered how much to flesh out the different areas. I would be worried about adding too much detail to the county article as it could get long and unwieldy. It might be better to merge Broadneck Peninsula with community articles like Arnold, Maryland and/or Cape St. Claire, Maryland, then have a short link in the county article. Just my $.02.--Bardobro (talk) 16:50, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

::Sounds good to me. Do you want to start working on that merge? Toddst1 (talk) 22:24, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

: I'm now thinking the article should stand. As a large, named peninsula (AFAIK the only named peninsula in AA Co), it seems noteworthy enough for its own article. I do agree it needs some rewriting, better sources, etc.--Bardobro (talk) 17:41, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Edgewater

Edgewater was erroneously listed as synonymous with Mayo. Though they share a ZIP code, Edgewater is a separate CDP. I created the page and will fill in demographic info if/when I have time. Please feel free to help out.--Bardobro (talk) 15:09, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

first regular railroad passenger service

The given source disagrees with the statement: (a) different date by two date, (b) does not state or imply that this was the first regular passenger service (in fact it refers to experimental service. It does refer to (six months later) the first railroad station, at Ellicott's Mills. TEDickey (talk) 23:57, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
