Just completed the requested copy edit
Discussion's open if anyone would like to discuss the copy edit I just completed on "Anne Frank." It was so well written that the work went very quickly. I did find a number of places that I could tighten up and paragraphs that I could break up for better readership; some words that I could translate to help readers; etc.
If someone else would work on improving the visual presentation of the gallery of photos—including better separation from each other so as to create wider space for the captions to fit underneath each photo instead of letting them get long (like the one with a stele)—that would tremendously enhance the article.
I should mention that I had changed quite a few words in the article into British (Oxford) format before I came to the Talk page to post the copy edit notice ... and to my dismay, discovered a notice saying that the article used US format on verbs ending in -ize and so that should be kept until further discussion might be held on the Talk page about it. I see that I misinterpreted some of that notice, as I thought I had to undo all the UK formatting I'd done on quite a few verbs. I will be happy to reformat those verbs, but I'd like to ask those of you involved with the article to discuss why to allow mixing UK with US format. Augnablik (talk) 21:21, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
:Yes thank you, I wanted to go through and identify any formatting issues the article might have. Some of the images from the galleries could be spaced out more throughout the article. There's a few sections lacking images. I'm not sure about the proper course for the spelling. Harizotoh9 (talk) 12:48, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
::Happy to see your interest in fine-tuning the article, @Harizotoh9. As I think further about this spelling situation, to me it makes no sense to mix formatting in an article, even though there's that question at the top of the page. What I think does make sense is for me to connect with one of the formatting specialist editors I know and bring it up with him. So let's go on ...
::Not all sections of an article have to have photos. The photos that are there, however, really do need to be better arranged. Is that something you'd like to tackle? Augnablik (talk) 14:07, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
::To my complete surprise, I just learned in the Teahouse that there really is what I called mixed format but apparently is a legitimate British format called the "Oxford style." The notification at the top of the page links to a place to read about it.
::So there's no further discussion needed among Anne Frank editors. Let me take care of this formatting accordingly in the article later today, after I look it over first. I'm still recovering from the shock! Augnablik (talk) 04:32, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
🔷 I have just gone back over the article to check for Oxford spelling, and in the process made several other edits here and there similar to my earlier work, mainly for better clarity. Please don't edit for spelling unless you're familiar with Oxford spelling, because it's a little different than regular British format ... something I myself didn't know till today.
Happy to continue here in discussion about other edit issues, questions, etc.

Two more editing requests, pretty please:
1- Please don't change "Anne" to just "Frank." There are so many other members of the Frank family that it would be confusing.
2- Toward the end of the article, this sentence appears: "A 2018 book suggested that the source of the Secret Annex discovery was Ans van Dijk, a Dutch Jew who betrayed at least 145 fellow Jews to the Gestapo, as a potential candidate for the informant." I don't understand who "the informant" refers to. Do any of you? If so, please make an edit to explain to readers. Augnablik (talk) 16:54, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
Images!
The placement of the random images at the end of the "Early Life" section seems out of context and unrelated to the content of that section. I recommend moving them to a new section titled "Gallery", placed after the See also section. So what yall think? Lililolol (talk) 23:12, 11 June 2025 (UTC)
:Yes, I think the most relevant images should be distributed to the early life and relevant sections and the rest sent to the gallery. Harizotoh9 (talk) 00:47, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
