It should be noted that the CPI used to measure corruption is under harsh critisism and that the global corruption barmeter released by the same organization (transparency international) places Argentina in the place 31 of 95 countries, with levels of bribery well below the world's average.

Etymology
"In English, the name Argentina comes from the Spanish language;"
Am I the only one who sees a problem with that sentence? Beetfarm Louie (talk) 21:53, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
English variant
Hi, I would like to suggest changing this article to use Oxford spelling. The use of 'z' in Oxford spelling better reflects the Spanish spelling in words like civilización or organizar. While American English also uses this spelling, many of its words are less similar to Spanish than British English, e.g., soccer/football (fútbol), drugstore/pharmacy (farmacia), cinema/movie theater (cine), etc. In fact, the article already uses the words football and footballer, which would not be appropriate if it were written in American English.--Marginataen (talk) 14:11, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
:Hi, it's been more than a week. If another week passes without any objections, I'll probably just change it. Merry Christmas :) Marginataen (talk) 13:27, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
::I've have now made the change. Merry Christmas once again. Marginataen (talk) 19:30, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
