Requested move 17 June 2025

{{requested move/dated|Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders}}

:Asian Pacific Americans → {{no redirect|Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders}} – The term "Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders" (and its abbreviation AAPI) is now more common than "Asian Pacific Americans" (and its abbrevation APA), and also identifies the subject as being two related groups. 63.158.47.179 (talk) 02:36, 17 June 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 01:07, 24 June 2025 (UTC)

  • Oppose as not being a global term. It may be more common (although this hasn't been demonstrated) but the point is the phrase means Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans. This is only clear in the context of American discussion. By itself, "Pacific Islander" does not generally mean an American. StAnselm (talk) 03:41, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
