I accidentally changed 38th to 37th in September. Then I found that out it was based on the 2020 census data, which said 38th. Could someone please change it back to 38th to match with the 2020 census data? 2603:8080:D03:89D4:1957:EB4B:3567:7E63 (talk) 23:38, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

:{{done}} LizardJr8 (talk) 02:21, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

::"37th most populous city" is also mentioned in the first paragraph. please change that to 38th 2603:8080:D03:89D4:1957:EB4B:3567:7E63 (talk) 02:24, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

:::Thanks, I missed that. Done per below. LizardJr8 (talk) 02:49, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Change Thumbnail image on Hover

Is there a way to change the image when you hover over Atlanta to be i.e. the skyline instead of the Aquarium? Psiedits (talk) 01:36, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

Weird map in lower right corner, at very bottom, over categories

FYI: I'm seeing a rectangular white map in very bottom right corner of this article, covering the category region.

Clicking on this white-ish map links to URL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta#/map/0

I'm on MacMini, Apple OS, Firefox browser (web browser, not an app). I don't have time to look into it now, maybe someone else can. Noleander (talk) 23:35, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

:I'm not able to replicate it using the same settings (macOS on a 2024 Mac Mini with Firefox) or with other browsers (Safari, Brave, Chrome). It may be the :Template:Sister project links; if it happens on other articles that also use that template (such as Ghana, Greece, Ankara, or Damascus) then it might be worth mentioning it at :Template talk:Sister project links. - Aoidh (talk) 23:49, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

::I'm not seeing the problem in those other articles. In this Atlanta article, the InfoBox has two maps that are drawn correctly, so perhaps they are not the issue? The white rectangular region I'm seeing in Atlanta article has two blue links at its bottom: one to https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Maps_Terms_of_Use and the other to https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright Noleander (talk) 01:47, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

:::I posted this issue in two other WP Talk pages, linking to this discussion. The issue is not fatal: just ugly/annoying. And, of course, it may only be visible to < 1% of WP users. Noleander (talk) 01:54, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

::::That's not the sister project then, it sounds like it was perhaps something wrong with the infobox around the interactive map. Using an editor that has syntax highlighting it looks like perhaps the editing notes may be causing some issues with some browsers, so I've adjusted them. I'm not sure if that will work since I cannot duplicate the issue, and it may be something with the interactive map itself causing the issue on some browsers. If it's still present for you, is it present in Safari or Chrome as well? - Aoidh (talk) 03:17, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

:::::Tried again after your changes to InfoBox: problem is still there. Platforms:

::::::Bug visible: MacMini with Firefox browser; Windows 11 Surface with Firefox browser [Firefox version 138.0.1]

::::::No bug: MacMini with Safari or Chrome; Windows 11 Surface with Edge browser

:::::So, it looks like the issue is specific to Firefox. When I click on the white ghost map, it displays a full-screen map of atlanta in blue, much like the upper map in the InfoBox. So the issue is probably the interactive map (not the pushpin map) and/or the template:maplink. Noleander (talk) 04:28, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

Atlanta is the capital and most populous city in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is the seat of Fulton County, and a portion of the city extends into neighboring DeKalb County...

Explanation: Remove "portion of the city" and just say "extends" because "extends" implies it is not fully in the city. because it seems redundant. Xwoqjodisfumosd (talk) 01:39, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
