Bunge Bioenergia acquisition

Hi editors, last week bp announced that it was taking full ownership of Bunge Bioenergia from Bunge Global for {{USD}}1.4 billion. The purchase increases bp's biofuel production capacity by 50,000 barrels per day and revenue by {{USD}}2 billion annually. Interesting times. BP got their start in Persia back in Imperial times. And got in trouble with local politics, and in conflict with Russia. An American envoy was a helpful neutral party. All of this in the late 19th C., If memory serves. Pete Tillman (talk) 16:27, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
