Fluorescence in Plants
This article is a redirection from "Fluorescence in Plants", but doesn't mention fluorescence!
Is betalin fluorescent?
Are other plant( constituent)s fluorescent?
Yes: chlorophyll, at least.
(and so this article should be linked to from "Fluorescence in Plants" - not redirected to)
What plants fluoresce?
o in the colloquial sense of making them stand out more to birds(?), etc.
(as opposed to only in a more technical sense (chlorophyll) )
Why?
(o to attract pollinators, etc.)
Are the beta-whatevers the only known plant compounds that fluoresce? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PMH232 (talk • contribs) 13:20, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
:I have solved the problem by generalizing the redirect to Biological pigment. --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:53, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
