IMO the description of the image in Commons is ignorant. AFAIK Chelm was never part of Kresy Wschodnie. It is true that today there is a significant part of Chelm population are Kresoviacy. But they are simply descendants of "true" kresowiacy who were violently expelled from Kresy when the area was annexed by the Soviet Union and they do have bitter memories of these times, where, e.g., Ukrainians massecred Poles in big numbers.
