Use of given name

Per request of the subject in this BLP, please do not add his real name to the article. [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:CGP_Grey&diff=prev&oldid=687915715 For reference.]

he continues to live in the city.

can this sentence from the early life section be changed? In the context of London the phrase "The City" means The City of London, which is not the same as London. Roturgxte (talk) 17:09, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

:I know it's not capitalised, so it's not actually wrong, it just doesn't read well, imo Roturgxte (talk) 17:09, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

::I don't think it is a big deal but I've tweaked it a bit. DanielRigal (talk) 18:14, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

:::I agree the previous phrasing was confusing, and I support the change. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 02:54, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Requesting consensus on English variety

the subject of this article is American, speaks American English, produces media in American English, and is only based of London. for me, it was very odd to discover that the article uses {{tl|EngvarB}} and DMY dates. per MOS:TIES, I wish to establish consensus on what the article's variety of English should be.
